Payments and Subscription Management

Do you have a subscription-based payment system? Will I be charged automatically every month?

Yes, JetOctopus uses a subscription-based model, so once you’ve subscribed – you will be automatically charged every next month. 

Every month, our payment provider FastSpring will attempt to take payment from you (with email notifications), unless you cancel your subscription before this point. You can cancel anytime, there is no minimum subscription term.

What ways of payment do you have?

We accept payment from all major credit card companies and PayPal through the FastSpring platform. 

Bank wire transfer is also possible. 

Do I need to sign a contract in order to use JetOctopus for a monthly or annual term?

It’s possible. Please, contact us through online chat. One of our sales representatives will get back to you with details. Don’t forget to leave your valid email address so we can reach you back. 

Is there any yearly commitment or minimum period for a subscription?

No obligation on payment period or yearly commitment. Users can be subscribed for JetOctopus as long as it’s needed and cancel anytime.

Yearly subscriptions are possible, but not obligatory. Please, contact sales for more details.

Can I upgrade/downgrade anytime? How can I do it?

Just choose the new package you need through the Pricing page. Previous subscriptions will be deactivated.

Will I be refunded for the quota/module I didn’t use in full during my subscription month?

If the user had all available quota and functionality modules but didn’t use them in fact – JetOctopus doesn’t have an obligation to refund it.

If the user made a subscription duplication accidentally, JetOctopus will make a refund after having a closer look at this case (reasons of such duplication, quota usage, etc).

Where I can find my Invoices and/or change my payment details?

You can get your invoices and manage subscription preferences through your personal Fastspring account.
They can be reached through periodic transactional emails you get from Fastspring. 

Invoices are automatically sent to the email you mentioned at JetOctopus registration. In order to download them from the emails, please use “Print > Save as PDF”.

If you deleted those emails, but need an access to your account, write your account email here: https://jetoctopus.onfastspring.com/account. After that, you will get a letter with your personal account link when you can manage your subscription – change payment card, method and other payment details.

In case you don’t get emails at all or have lost access to your mailbox – please, write to our support online chat.

I can’t proceed with a payment, your payment provider blocks my payment. What should I do?

First of all, make sure that you’ve chosen the correct country during payment processing.

If you still can’t make a payment, that was stopped by Fastsping’s risk processor because it appears highly risky. It scored very high for things like Reputations, IP addresses, Devices, Email addresses, Geo-location checks, Proxy detection and Bank Identification Number checks. This order had a Risk Score so it has a chance of being fraudulent.

Usually, it happens when the payer’s location is not corresponding with the location of payment card origins and other factors mentioned below (a very common situation for CIS countries – Ukraine, Russia etc). Try to switch on a VPN and use correct payment details. Sometimes, changing the payment card/method works can also be helpful.

If it’s still not working – please, write to our online chat. If you’re a trusted user, we will write to Fastspring’s support in order to get a payment link, that won’t be blocked for 100%. Usually, it takes from 1 to 4 business days.

I should be charged today, but in fact, I didn’t. My account seems closed. What is the problem?

Sometimes a time lag can occur. It exists in the Fastspring payment system between your last subscription date and before the date/time when a new payment should be recharged. Just wait for a few hours to be recharged (so your account will be re-activated) or contact us via online chat if it’s urgent.

Will I be charged with a VAT or any other taxes?

JetOctopus’s fees do not include any taxes, levies, duties, or similar governmental assessments. Customer is responsible for paying all Taxes associated with its purchases. 

Sometimes, the FastSpring platform includes a tax service that provides accurate tax rates to our customers in real-time, based on their specific location, all around the globe. Applicable taxes are automatically applied during purchase based on location and product type.

What can I do if I want to launch another crawl but my URL limits have been reached?

You can wait until your monthly renewal. If you don’t want to wait until your renewal, you can buy an additional quota through our Pricing page. Please, contact us via online chat to get more information.
