Custom Extraction. How to extract any info from a webpage

Crawl report gives us a general understanding of the technical state of the website. However, with the Custom Extraction option, you can add more parameters to scrape from the HTML of the page and make your crawling report more complex and filled according to your needs.

For example, an e-commerce website might need to have aggregated information on the pricing of products, or how many reviews they have, or what’s the rating score, etc. By using the Custom Extraction you can quickly pull up the most important information from the page on how your good, quality pages perform in terms of the info they contain.

This option can be easily set up on JetOctopus right at the moment you create a new crawl. You simply create the Rule, insert the needed element from the code, and put the URL – and you get all the data in no time.

In this video, you will see how that works with JetOctopus.
